Mean,Median,Mode and Range

I was learning to understand mean, median, mode and range

I mostly found it easy but first I didn't understand what the mean meant but now I understand it after Mr Walker taught me how to use it. I think I need to work on doing the mean with decimals because I find it harder when I have to divide it due to the decimals if anyone has any information around an easy way to divide when decimals are present please let me know in the comments below. I would like to know about why finding the average is important and when I would use it in the real world.

Rocket Demonstration

Today my class went to Wesley primary and did a Rocket demonstration to two class the classes were made up of year 5 and 6 students. First we got them to talk about what they had learnt about flight. Next we experimented with thrust  and friction using the skateboard. Finally we experimented with the equipment.

Gymnastics

On Thursday the 2lst of June me, 5 others and our principal went to tri-star gym to learn routines and practice them for a competition tomorrow.I enjoyed it even though  I couldn't really take part because I hurt my hand.The routines we learnt were floor, beam, vault, tumbling and trampolining. To me most of the routines looked quite easy except for the tumbling.  

ASB Getwise

Today a man Called Jayden  came and taught us about money first he said  that if you just cut down on little things then you will save lots in the long term.Next we played a game, our class was split into three groups. Each group had 1,800 dollars for a trip to LA we got to chose weather we got cheap stuff or expensive stuff.
